Micken - Sam Moggach aka Micken was first introduced to electronic music by videogames in his childhood. Since then he has been interested in how they work. In the late 90s he was living in Calgary, Alberta and heard trance for the first time. A few years later he started going to raves and dancing around like a fool. The inspiration from experiencing the music live and the need to understand how it works eventually led him to producing and djing as a hobby. In 2003 Micken began signing his "freeform hardcore" tunes to a canadian indie label but then stopped in 2007 to pursue his career in Toronto. This is where he discovered drum & bass but it wasn't until moving to Montreal that he fell in love with it. Inspired by the breadth and depth of the dnb sound as well as the bassdrive.com djs he began producing it. Now he is influenced by the sounds of many great dnb producers. He spends his spare time mixing tunes, lending an ear or creating a vibe.
